Medline Industries on Oct. 14 told customers it is “executing a voluntary field action to initiate a product removal, discontinuation, and market exit of all Medline Brand beds, including homecare beds, bariatric beds, and long-term-care beds, and their associated pendants, accessories, replacement parts, and bed-containing order packages.”
“Medline is committed to delivering high-quality medical and surgical products to healthcare providers across all points of care. We have determined that immediate and concrete action is necessary to uphold our responsibility to healthcare providers and the patients and communities they serve,” the company said.
Further, Medline said, “We believe this action best supports our commitment to product quality and safety for healthcare providers and the patients and communities they serve. Medline believes it is our responsibility to act decisively whenever patient safety concerns arise, and this action reflects that commitment. We continue to conduct a comprehensive assessment into reported issues and are working transparently and collaboratively with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.”
Medline said customers can fill out a Recall Response Form here.
