Transcript Generated by AI 00:05 Mark Parkinson with Park Place and very happy to be here live on the 00:09 Expo Center floor of the American Healthcare 00:11 Association annual conference here in Boston. 00:14 And we're here at the Reliant Rehabilitation set. 00:17 You can see it's some pretty amazing stuff that they've set up. 00:19 We're here with Stephanie Parks, 00:21 who does a great job with the marketing activity. 00:24 Stephanie. 00:24 Tell us about what's going on here and I know we've 00:26 got Frank earlier from Next year on my longtime buddy. 00:30 I talked to Fran. 00:31 Yeah, 00:31 thank you both for being here. 00:32 I got boost today. 00:33 So, 00:34 um, 00:34 the story with Fran is that I started my career 00:38 over almost 30 years ago, 00:40 and when Mir and Fran walked into Guantola in Houston, 00:43 I was a rehab director. 00:45 And uh through the years, 00:47 uh we established a long partnership 00:49 from 00:50 working in-house 00:51 with Nexxon to 00:53 um being executive leader for Alliance and 00:56 having 00:57 over 20 years of partnership and moving from in-house 01:01 model to fully outsourced but truly the seamless partnership. 01:05 Yeah, 01:05 I mean, 01:05 and one of the things that really surprised me, 01:07 Stephanie, 01:07 is that I always thought that once companies got to do 25, 01:10 30, 01:11 40 buildings, 01:12 they take 01:13 Rehab 01:14 in-house 01:15 they wouldn't 01:16 work with Reliant or some other provider, 01:18 but Fran, 01:19 I know you know what you're going and and people 01:21 in the sector know you know what you were doing. 01:23 You were almost my chair, 01:25 the American Association and you worked together so closely for so many years. 01:29 You've got 57 buildings that you're highly successful in. 01:33 Why haven't you taken with you? 01:35 Well, 01:35 I, 01:35 I think when it goes back to the beginning 01:37 of, 01:37 of Max Shannon, 01:38 you know this from your book, 01:39 our culture is what's important 01:41 in relying to take our culture. 01:43 Uh, 01:44 back in the beginning, 01:44 you know, 01:45 we, 01:45 we have a lot of rural building in Vivian, 01:47 Louisiana, 01:48 hard to find therapists. 01:49 So, 01:49 you know, 01:50 we, 01:50 we, 01:50 we went 01:51 to Reliant because they could provide me with quality individuals 01:55 in rural markets, 01:56 and they, 01:57 they said our culture 01:58 that they, 01:59 they, 01:59 when you go to a building, 02:00 they don't say they work for Reliance, 02:01 they say they work for us. 02:03 They become part of your team. 02:04 They're part of our team, 02:05 and, 02:05 and most of them on 02:06 the leadership in the building we 02:08 have been with me for. 02:09 year. 02:10 So there was no reason to go to someone else. 02:13 We, 02:13 we've worked a good financial model that worked for Holdenloss, 02:16 and it's worked well. 02:18 She stayed with it. 02:19 So you got a great outcome, 02:20 got great results. 02:21 Why change, 02:22 you know, 02:23 why, 02:23 why 02:24 it wasn't broke, 02:25 so we didn't seem to fix. 02:26 I mean, 02:26 I think a lot of people would think without looking at the data that they would 02:31 make more money if they brought 02:32 anything else, 02:33 but it sounds like you've been able to figure out a financial way to make. 02:35 Yeah, 02:36 and it's not about always making money. 02:37 I mean, 02:38 it's, 02:38 it's, 02:38 it's the quality of the outcome, 02:40 you know, 02:40 I mean, 02:40 maybe I can make a little bit more money, 02:42 but what kind of energy of our 02:45 leadership is gonna go to running a rehab company 02:47 where we can't focus on quality? 02:49 Yeah, 02:49 stuff, 02:50 it's gotta be fun to hear that. 02:51 Yes, 02:51 it is. 02:52 Good to spend time with both of you here in Boston 02:55 and thanks all of you for continuing your support.
