The Ensign Group, Inc. announced operating results for the third quarter 2026, reporting "outstanding" results clinically and financially.

The Ensign Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENSG) announced operating results for the third quarter of 2026, reporting GAAP diluted earnings per share of $1.76 and adjusted earnings per share of $2.03. The company called the results “outstanding” on both a financial and clinical basis and raised its yearly earnings estimates as well.

Wall Street reacted favorably, with after-hours trade showing Ensign stock up more than $10, or 6 percent, at around $180 per share. The adjusted earnings of $2.03 per share bested Street expectations for $1.97 a share.

"We are thrilled to report another outstanding quarter. Our teams continue to demonstrate their unwavering commitment to dignifying post-acute care through moments of truth. Our core values, which our teams refer to using the acronym CAPLICO, create a shared culture that empowers nearly 60,000 partners to lead with compassion, accountability, ownership, and a relentless commitment to excellence,” said Barry Port, CEO of The Ensign Group.

"Our clinical leaders also continue to drive outstanding outcomes, which is particularly impressive given our growth over the past several years. According to the most recently published CMS data, our Same Facilities achieved annual survey results that were 15 percent better at the state level and 28 percent better at the county level,” he said.

Port added that this is especially notable given that many of these facilities were 1- and 2-Star buildings at acquisition.

“Additionally, our Same Facilities outperformed in 5-Star Quality Measure results by 21 percent at the state level. These results reinforce our position as the provider of choice in our markets and demonstrate our ability to create long-term value through sustained clinical excellence,” he said.

Clinical Highlights:
